Polypac specializes in precision Elastomer Diaphragms engineered for hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid control systems. Founded in 2008, we evolved from PTFE-filled seal production to a full spectrum of elastomer sealing solutions. Our diaphragms combine flexible design with chemical and mechanical resilience to meet strict performance and safety requirements.
Materials & Performance
We produce Elastomer Diaphragms in NBR, FKM, silicone, EPDM, and FFKM to deliver tailored resistance to oils, fuels, high temperatures, and aggressive media. From low-permeability NBR for oil sealing to FFKM for extreme chemical environments, each material is selected to maximize diaphragm elongation, fatigue life, and sealing reliability under cyclical loading.
Custom Manufacturing Capacity
Polypac’s custom rubber ring and O-ring factory covers more than 10,000 square meters with 8,000 m² of factory space and industry-leading production and testing equipment. We offer precision molding, extrusion, and finishing for complex diaphragm geometries, rapid prototyping and volume production to exact tolerances required by critical systems.

When should I use a spring-energized seal instead of a standard elastomeric seal?
Consider a spring-energized seal (e.g., GSF, SPN types) for demanding applications involving: Extreme Temperatures (below -30°C or above +200°C) Aggressive Chemicals that elastomers can't handle Very Low Leakage or "Zero Leakage" requirements Poor Lubricity or dry running conditions The internal spring maintains constant sealing force, compensating for wear and system variables.
What is the purpose of the metal spring in a rotary shaft seal?
The garter spring in a shaft seal (e.g., FSKR, SPGO types) provides a constant radial force on the sealing lip. This ensures consistent contact with the rotating shaft, compensating for minor wear, eccentricity, and vibration to prevent lubricant leakage.
Can I reuse a seal?
We strongly recommend never reusing seals. Once compressed and used, a seal takes a "set" and its elastic properties are degraded. Reusing it almost always results in a leak. Always install a new seal during any maintenance or repair.
Why did my O-ring fail prematurely?
Common causes of O-ring failure include: Chemical Incompatibility: Swelling, softening, or cracking due to fluid exposure. Improper Sizing: Using an incorrect size leads to over-compression or inadequate sealing force. Abrasion: Wear and tear from rough surface finishes or contaminated fluid. Extrusion: The seal is forced into the gap between metal parts under high pressure. Installation Damage: Nicks, cuts, or twists during assembly.
