Polypac O-Rings for Hydraulic Systems: Reliable Sealing Solutions
Polypac O-Rings for Hydraulic Systems — Precision Seals Built to Last
High Quality Materials and Performance
Polypac offers a wide range of o-rings for hydraulic systems manufactured from NBR, FKM, silicone, EPDM and FFKM to meet pressure, temperature and chemical-resistance demands. Our material science expertise, evolved from decades of PTFE compound development, ensures each O-ring balances hardness, compression set and dynamic performance for long service life in hydraulic cylinders, valves and pumps.
Custom Manufacturing Capabilities
With a custom rubber ring and O-ring factory exceeding 10,000 square meters and 8,000 m² of production space, Polypac delivers scalable custom solutions for special working conditions. We adapt cross-sections, durometers and compound formulations to provide optimized o-rings for hydraulic systems — from standard metric sizes to bespoke geometries and impurity-controlled compounds for mission-critical applications.
Advanced Testing and Quality Assurance
Polypac’s production and testing equipment rank among the industry’s most advanced. Every batch of o-rings for hydraulic systems undergoes dimensional inspection, hardness testing, compression set evaluation and leak testing to meet ISO and OEM specifications. Our R&D collaborations with universities and research institutes strengthen product validation under dynamic and high-pressure cycles.
Applications and Compatibility
Designed for mobile hydraulics, industrial presses, marine equipment and aerospace ground systems, our o-rings for hydraulic systems resist hydraulic fluids, lubricants and environmental contaminants. Material options such as FFKM and FKM provide superior chemical compatibility while EPDM and silicone deliver reliable performance in low-temperature or anti-freeze environments.
Why Choose Polypac?
As a scientific and technical hydraulic seal manufacturer and oil seal supplier founded in 2008, Polypac combines heritage in filled PTFE with modern elastomeric O-ring production. Choose Polypac for proven sealing expertise, rapid prototyping, rigorous quality control and the capacity to supply high-volume production runs — all backed by tailored service and global delivery.

What is the difference between a static seal and a dynamic seal?
A Static Seal is used between two surfaces that do not move relative to each other (e.g., pipe flanges, end caps). O-rings and gaskets are common static seals. A Dynamic Seal is used between surfaces that do move (e.g., piston and cylinder, rotating shaft). Rod seals, piston seals, and rotary shaft seals are designed for this purpose.
How do I choose the right material for my sealing application?
Material selection depends on four key factors: Media: What fluid or gas will the seal contact? (e.g., petroleum oil, water, chemicals, steam) Temperature: What is the minimum and maximum operating temperature? Pressure: What is the system's operating pressure? Are there pressure spikes? Application: Is it a static, dynamic, or rotary seal? Example: NBR (Buna-N) is excellent for standard hydraulic oil, while FKM (Viton®) is needed for high temperatures or aggressive chemicals.
What does "AS568" mean?
AS568 is the Aerospace Standard that defines the dimensions for over 360 standard O-ring sizes. It is the most widely accepted sizing system in North America and globally. An AS568 number (e.g., AS568-214) specifies a precise inside diameter and cross-section.
When should I use a spring-energized seal instead of a standard elastomeric seal?
Consider a spring-energized seal (e.g., GSF, SPN types) for demanding applications involving: Extreme Temperatures (below -30°C or above +200°C) Aggressive Chemicals that elastomers can't handle Very Low Leakage or "Zero Leakage" requirements Poor Lubricity or dry running conditions The internal spring maintains constant sealing force, compensating for wear and system variables.
